HOLLYWOOD THEME PARTY

This versatile theme can be adapted to suit a variety of events. ON ARRIVAL

Tonight is awards night; giant searchlights scan the night sky, enormous chauffeur driven limousines alight superstars and a mass media circus jostles for prime pictures. The paparazzo’s jovial banter and attention seeking comments deliver a cheerful start to the proceedings. Once inside, guests stroll through a hall of fame. A walkway lined with marbled pillars, palm trees and famous names. Chaplin, Monroe, and Bogart they’re all here to meet and greet you personally.Welcome to theme & design's Hollywood themed event

PROPS AND VENUE DECORATION

Opulence is the order of the day and to create that we have a selection of hire props for the perfect Hollywood theme party including, giant stage Oscars, marbled pillars, lame wall sashes, urns and pedestals, balustrade, pea light trellis, giant clapper boards, movie panels, plenty of star cloth and for those with something to say, we have a matching pillar lecterns. Backdrop art canvasses are available in silhouette and full colour UV in a variety of sizes and styles. We also have a large stock of period movie posters. A black & white acrylic dance floor blends pleasingly with the theme along with a white cocktail bar.

HOSPITALITY

Tables can be laid to gold or coloured lame with black brocade slip cloths and matching black brocade chair covers with gold or colour lame bows and sashes. Wrought iron candelabra have dyed or church candles with a centrally positioned floral decoration. A wonderful presentation can be created using a contrasting combination of gold or coloured crockery and glassware. Small clapperboards denote the name of the event and table numbers, while film cans draped with celluloid roll and miniature Oscars complete the scene.

INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT

From mime to mayhem and beyond, a look-alike Charlie Chaplin, who’s been passed off as a mannequin suddenly awakens startling many. The comic hero proceeds to interact one on one with all around him. During dinner before an unsuspecting audience, Stolga & Kak, two immigrant waiters with hearts of gold and brains of cotton wool infiltrate the real staff. Overfilling wine glasses, expressing ineptitude and eating bread rolls from the plate is just the beginning for this incredibly funny and original act. Meanwhile Big Films Inc are auditioning for roles in their latest production. Using guests as the stars on a fantasy film shoot, the director and his assistant create scenes where guests enact screen romances, shoot outs, complete with all the clichés. LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

A vocal pianist in tails will serenade you through dinner then dance the night away to a big band like the Pasadena Roof Orchestra who play traditional sets of swing and jazz, If you prefer a more contemporary collection then an act such as The James Duke Band is a fine choice or how about a legendary Motown performance from the Supremes. If you’re an up all night person, then we have DJ’s who will play non-stop for you into the wee small hours. LIGHTING

Plenty of up lighters are used for colour washing, with pin spots to illuminate dining tables and features. Projected images (gobos) are popular and can be displayed anywhere within the venue, static or moving. Given sufficient notice we can transpose your own artwork, logo or message onto walls, floors, ceilings, even the exterior of the building.
